Two seminarians from the Diocese of St. Cloud, Scott Wilber Athey of St. Cloud and Richard Leo Aubol of Big Lake, were among 63 men installed as acolytes Feb. 26 at the Pontifical North American College in Rome by Bishop David Kagan of the Diocese of Bismarck, North Dakota.

Becoming an acolyte is the second-to-last step before becoming an ordained priest. The seminarians have two additional years of theological studies and spiritual formation before being ordained to the priesthood.
