Bishop Donald Kettler will preside at a diocesan-wide healing service at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Holy Angels Performing Arts Center in St. Cloud.
Bishop Kettler asked members of the council to consider representing the Diocese of St. Cloud as leaders from their legislative districts at the event and to encourage others from their areas to attend.
Five seminarians from the Diocese of St. Cloud recently participated in a practicum immersing them in parish and diocesan life.

In the early hours of Jan. 20, eight Cathedral High School students and their social studies teacher left the warmth of their hotel to secure a spot on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C., to watch the presidential inaugural parade.
On Sunday, Sept. 24, Diocesan Encuentro (which means “encounter” in Spanish) will take place at River’s Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud. On the following day, Sept. 25, Diocesan Ministry Day will be held at the convention center.
“We’re not going to change the minds of the haters,” Read said, “but I see this as a way to reassure people who are potentially targeted or discriminated against that there are people in the community who are on their side. We may not be as vocal or as obvious as some of the ugly things they’ve seen, but we are here.”
